Wall Heating – Radiant Heat from the Wall

A room with wall heating creates an immediately perceptible sense of comfort. The warm wall is reminiscent of the cosy warmth of a tiled stove. By installing BEKA capillary tube mats or 10 mm single tube technology, every wall becomes a radiant heating element.

Climate wall - All surfaces become heat storage

The required heating water temperatures are significantly lower compared to traditional cast-iron radiators or sheet steel panel radiators. The comfort of wall heating also requires significantly less energy. The absence of radiators gives the interior design the greatest possible freedom of planning. Wall heating can be planned in combination with ceiling heating to ensure sufficient heat output even when there is little ceiling or wall space available for thermal activation. Wall cooling is possible in summer. The installation can be carried out using the plaster method or drywall.

Wall heating for clay plaster, gypsum plaster or lime plaster

Wall heating systems for plastering processes are the classic among radiant wall heating. The plaster wall heating can be implemented both with the BEKA capillary tube mat and with the 10 mm single tube technology. Thin plaster thicknesses are sufficient to cover the heating pipes. This improves the heating behavior and the energy balance.

All standard plastering materials can be used. Gypsum plasters, clay plasters and lime plasters are particularly suitable. The selection ensures flexibility in implementation. Nevertheless, recommendations regarding the project-specific, optimal plastering process should be obtained from the executing engineers or plumbers.

The effect of the natural radiant heat is additionally supported, especially when wall heating with clay plaster is used. Clay is also known to absorb smoke and other pollutants. The combination with clay plaster ensures a particularly natural feeling of warmth and reduces the proportion of allergens and pollutants in the room air.

Benefits of a Wall Heating

  • Pleasant radiant heat
  • The wall works as energy storage
  • Good choice for retrofitting
  • Avoid annoying radiators
  • Suitable for allergic sufferers
  • Wall cooling operation possible

Wall heating in drywall

Wall heating in dry construction is quickly installed, creates smooth and straight walls and is therefore particularly suitable for retrofitting in old buildings or for modernizing individual rooms. For this variant, BEKA offers factory-made wall elements in standard dimensions with integrated capillary tube mats or integrated 10 mm PE-RT single tube.

The prefabricated wall heating elements in dry construction are also the right choice for the thermal activation of individual, project-specific constructions.
