Retrofitting Drywall Heating and Cooling Ceilings in just a few simple Steps
In this drywall system for heating and cooling ceilings, the 10 mm PE-RT heating pipe has already been milled into a plasterboard panel at our factory. This allows the heating installation and ceiling panel installation to be combined into a single step. In this way, the BEKA system minimises time and effort on the construction site.
15 mm plasterboard panels in accordance with drywall specifications serve as the basis. The standard dimensions are 2,000 mm × 1,250 mm. The elements can also be manufactured in other dimensions for different ceiling requirements. The drywall panels are milled at the factory. The PE-RT pipe is then inserted into the milled channels and the back of the panels is laminated with Schrenz paper.
On the construction site, the plasterboard panels with integrated heating pipes are screwed to the CD profiles of the drywall construction. The drywall panels are pre-drilled so that the PE-RT pipe is not damaged when the screws are inserted. The plasterboard panels are connected to each other to form individual heating circuits. The heating circuits are routed to the mini distributor connection point. The pipes are installed without tools using plug connectors. The edge areas of the ceiling and the area of the supply lines are closed with standard plasterboard panels of the same thickness. The following video shows the correct arrangement of the heating and cooling elements and further details of the installation.
