Open Wooden Lamella Ceiling for Heating and Cooling

Project

To make sense of the forced corona break our partner in Lithuania has modernised his office and exhibition rooms in the first half of the year in order to be able to demonstrate the diverse design possibilities of a heating-cooling ceiling, For this Tenko has installed an open ceiling construction that allows open views of the capillary tube mats. Interested parties and customers can see exactly where room temperature comes from.

Uncovered areas alternate with black or white metal grids. Especially luxurious: the wooden lamella construction. Register with perpendicular panels produce a pleasant room effect and naturalness. The view into the ceiling cavity and the capillary tube mats hanging therein is reduced to certain viewing angles.

White capillary tube mats

For the open wooden laminated corner, Beka made the capillary tubes made of natural (white) polypropylene. Under the strict grid of metal ceiling construction or wooden slats, the capillary tubes elegantly shimmer. A clamping device with tension springs fixes the mats and ensures the compensation of temperature-related length changes of the capillary.

The overall concept of the nearly 1,000 m² building include 3 air-water heat pumps with a total output of 21 kW for heating and cooling and low-noise ventilation units with heat recovery.

Enthusiastic visitors

We had many visitors: customers, architects or investors [...] They are mostly very enthusiastic about the solution - how easy it is to set everything and how well that can look.
