The Radiant Heating System ClimatePower has won a National Innovation Award in the Skilled Trades thanks to its Capillary Tube Technology

Award

The ClimatePower surface heating system from Energie für Gebäude KG in Kaufbeuren has won the 2025 Federal Prize for Innovative Achievements in the Skilled Trades, awarded by the Chamber of Skilled Trades for Munich and Upper Bavaria.

The award recognizes the project's construction system for wall and ceiling heating, which distributes heat as evenly as possible across the surface, reduces flow temperatures, and thus saves energy and CO2 emissions.

The central component is the ClimatePower prefabricated panel. It consists of a 60 mm thick soft wood fiber carrier panel into which a capillary tube mat is milled. The material of the carrier panel, with its low thermal conductivity, ensures that only a small amount of heat is transferred in the undesirable upward direction.

The capillary tube mat enables the ClimatePower system to provide even heat distribution and quickly heat the ceiling thanks to its large heat transfer surface. A total of 103 m of pipe is installed in one panel thanks to the capillary arrangement.

A noticeable heating output is achieved after just 10 minutes.

The ClimatePower panels are manufactured in dimensions of 2,000 x 620 mm and attached to the ceiling with pan head screws.

The system includes the appropriate pipe systems for supply and return as well as special plug-in fittings. Clay plaster and all other plaster materials suitable for surface heating can be used for the final surface finish. The installation is designed for tradespeople and end customers with technical expertise.

The number of panels required can be determined online using the ClimatePower planning tool. To do this, upload a floor plan in which the panels and heating circuit distributors can be graphically positioned.
