Wall Construction with BEKA Single Pipe 50 WT

PRACTICAL TIP

If you don't want to use to the ceiling - take the wall! In our opinion, the ceiling remains the ideal place for surface temperature control. Nevertheless, heating the wall is sometimes necessary. Be it because the building owner wants it that way, the spatial situation does not allow it any other way or more heating/cooling capacity is needed than originally thought.

We have fiddled around and tested for you and can now present a solution with which you can activate walls simply and almost without preliminary planning in dry construction - completely without milled plasterboard elements. The variant is based on the flexible single pipe system 50 WT, consisting of PE-RT pipe, aluminium heat-conducting profiles and plastic profile clips, which is already used on the ceiling in many projects.

It is mounted on the wall in a frame made of UW upright profile 75 x 40 at intervals of 600 mm. CD profiles 60 x 27 are mounted horizontally between the stud frame. The profile clamps and aluminium guide profiles are placed on the CD profiles as usual and the single pipe is laid inside them. The advantages of the single pipe system 50 WT apply to the wall as well as to the ceiling: hardly any planning effort, flexible installation, robust material and quick, almost tool-free assembly.

This new application option complements previous solutions such as wall heating with plastered-in capillary tube mats or plasterboard with integrated single tubes.
