Phoenix Brussels – Plasterboard ceiling with 10 mm PE-RT Pipe

PROJECT

“There was a little surprise during assembly,” says Stijn Verheyen, Managing Director of Toptechnics. The Belgian specialist company for surface temperature conditioning installed a heating and cooling ceilings with the BEKA single pipe system in Brussels. “The lights were suddenly wider than originally planned. So we had to change the ceiling assignment again. But that's the beauty of the single pipe system: it can be flexibly adapted on site."

The work was carried out in a glass high-rise office building not far from Brussels-North train station. In total, Toptechnics laid around 900 m² of BEKA single pipe here. For better room acoustics, the installation was carried out under perforated plasterboard ceilings. Thanks to the standardised individual components of the BEKA single pipe technology, assembly was quick and easy, leaving room for changes at short notice. The fact that the final acceptance was then delayed had nothing to do with the cooling ceiling, but with the corona pandemic.

The tenants of the offices – including the Baloise insurance group – can now look forward to pleasant cooling ceilings and ceiling heating.
